Cool Summer Remedies

As the temperature rises and the sun shines brighter, summer is finally here! It’s time to lounge by the pool, explore the great outdoors, or simply enjoy a refreshing drink on a sunny patio. However, along with the perks of summer, the heat can sometimes take a toll on our bodies. I’ve five cool summer remedies to help you stay cool, refreshed, and recover from overexposure to the sun.

Stay Hydrated with Electrolytes

During hot summer days, it’s essential to replenish not only water but also electrolytes lost through sweat. Instead of relying on water alone, consider hydrating with beverages that contain electrolytes. Rebound Fx suits this purpose perfectly. It has 128 nutrients that will replenish the nutrients and electrolytes that you sweat out. It has a mild orange flavor. You can combine it with water, coconut water, or other beverages of your choice.

Rebound Fx Citrus Fusion is a sports energy drink designed to provide your body with energy-boosting nutrients that will also replenish your body and support optimal health.

Embrace Light and Cooling Foods

During the hot summer months, choose light and cooling foods that are gentle on your digestive system and help regulate body temperature. Fresh fruits like watermelon, berries, and citrus fruits with a touch of fresh mint are not only delicious but also hydrating. Incorporate more salads, chilled soups, and raw vegetables into your meals to keep you feeling refreshed and energized. You may even want to make healthy popsicles from Rebound Fx, TMR Shakes or Plant Base Shake with your favorite berries, or create a Greek Yogurt berry version. Contact me for recipes.

TMR is designed to help burn fat, suppress appetite, increase energy, and support healthy blood sugar. It contains no artificial sugars, colors, or sweeteners, and is caffeine free and gluten free. This great-tasting meal replacement shake not only offers 24 grams of pure protein per serving, but the benefits of naturally occurring amino acids, 20 different vitamins and minerals, and no artificial sugars.

This delicious shake is your solution for a natural, clean source of plant-based protein. It delivers 20 grams of protein and a complete amino acid profile to support muscle growth and recovery, and weight loss. Whether you’re a vegan, athlete, or just want more plant-based nutrition in your diet, this shake can help meet your nutritional goals.

Vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Need Some Cooling

A cooling mist can be a lifesaver on scorching summer days. Fill a small spray bottle with filtered water and a few drops of eucalyptus radiata essential oil. Keep it in the refrigerator or cooler bag and spritz yourself whenever you need a quick cooldown. Avoid getting it in your eyes. You can even make cooling cloths if you tend to get heatstroke. Prepare cooling cloths before you need them. Mix water with a few drops of Eucalyptus Radiata and apply to a wet hand towel or paper towel. Freeze and use as needed. Not only will it help cool your body, but it will also provide a delightful aromatherapy experience.

Eucalyptus Radiata, also known as narrow-leaf Peppermint, is a gentle, but powerful respiratory oil. Milder than other eucalyptus oils, it is an excellent choice for use with children. It is particularly useful in supporting the lungs.*

Sunkissed Too Much

Trinity Lotion is my go-to solution. It has beta glucan and aloe vera to help cool down sunbaked skin from playing in the sun. You can also add essential oils to it. Prepare a 4 oz bottle of Trinity Lotion with 5 drops of Lavender Mailette, 5 drops of Rose Geranium, and 5 drops of Carrot Seed. Mix all ingredients well. You can use it before going out into the sun and after as well.

Trinity Lotion is a proprietary blend of compounds with (3) active ingredients: Beta 1, 3-D Glucan, MSM and Aloe Vera. The Trinity Lotion is designed to keep skin healthy, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as a great first aid for burns, insect bites, bee stings and minor cuts.

Lavender, Maillette is a first choice for skincare due to its quick healing abilities and powerful, yet gentle action. It is one of the more effective oils for use on burns and sunburns; working to prevent swelling and scarring. Lavender is among the most widely used essential oils for emotional support. Many people say that if they were allowed to have only one oil, they would choose Lavender, Maillette.

Rose Geranium is a great oil to use for easing anxiety and depression. With balancing and uplifting qualities, its sweet rosy smell provides an energizing effect to the mind. Women use it to help with infertility, PMS, hot flashes, and to balance adrenals.

Carrot Seed Essential Oil has been used to support many skin care needs, however, it is also used for glandular and internal organ support and cleansing. Also, like its donor plant the carrot, it has been found to provide eye support as well as general overall stimulation for the body and energy level boosts.

Stay Active, Stay Cool

Exercise is a vital part of a healthy lifestyle, and summer offers numerous opportunities to stay active outdoors. However, it’s important to adjust your workout routine to beat the heat. Opt for early morning or late evening workouts when the temperatures are cooler. If you prefer outdoor activities during the day, choose water-based exercises like swimming or paddleboarding to keep your body temperature regulated.
