How to Stay Healthy During Your Winter Travels

Fall and Winter are the “normal” cold and flu season. Here is how to stay healthy during your winter travels. I am giving you ideas on what you can pack for your trips.

I always travel with “wholistic solutions.” I pack up my supplements to support my immunity, products for tasty hydration, my first aid kit, and items that are perfect for winter traveling.

These are my own preferences which may not be yours.  I may change my mind depending on space I have in my luggage.  I need to consider if I am flying or driving.

Supplementation for Traveling

Supplementation is crucial to being healthy. Good high quality supplementation will make sure your cells are healthy, and you will thrive. I always take some form of 90 for Life with me.

You don’t have much space in your suitcase. It is important to be compact.  Most of my supplementation are in powders which makes it easy.  There are some in tablet and capsule form too.  If you are a tablet and capsule person here is what I recommend.:

I personally, like Y23 in a sniff stick.  It is compact and light.  All I do is it sniff as needed.

No matter the time of year, I always have this “First Aid Kit.” I add more items for the Winter Season.

For Digestive Problems

Essential Oils

Sometimes, restaurant foods don’t agree with me. It is always to have these essential oils on hand. Choose the ones that best suit your needs. For digestive needs, you put one drop of one essential oil of your choice in couple drops of a carrier oil. (You don’t use both essential oils!) Apply the mixture clockwise on your abdomen.

Ginger Essential Oil is great to have on hand.  It helps with digestive problems and motion sickness. If you get motion sickness you apply it wrists or on the bottom of your feet.

Sweet Soothe is another good essential oil for diarrhea, stomach cramping, gas and bloating.   You can put one drop of it in a carrier oil or lotion.  Then apply it clockwise your abdomen for digestive problems.

Probiotics

Probiotics are always good to have on hand if you have digestive problems like heart burn or stomach upset. I love both of these products. Choose the one you want.

Supporting Your Skin

In the winter time depending where you are, the air is dryer. Even though many of us take care of our skin, we may need more. That is why I am always prepared when I travel. Here is what I bring.

Trinity Lotion is my go-to when I have dry & chapped skin, minor scraps, sunburn, bug bites and bee stings.  It does help some skin issues I had when my ski boots were too tight. Remember these days you never know if the place your rent or hotels have fleas in them.  People now travel with your dogs.  This is something to think about.

Lip Balm is a necessity in the winter or even in the sun.  It helps my chapped lips. I love the choices that I provide. My favorite is the Mint Lip Balm.

Lavender Maillette Roller Bottle is great for burns if I am cooking on the road. It also helps you relax when you apply it on the bottom of your feet.

Trauma Essential Oil is good to have in case of injury.  I fell on one of my trips and bruised up my hand. I put one drop of the essential oil in Trinity Lotion and apply it to the bruise area.  The bruising went away in a couple of days.

Also, it soothes, stabilizes, supports and revives the muscles and bones. It can provide relief for common minor injuries, such as a finger slammed in the door or a bump on the head. With severe injuries, it has been known to inhibit bruising, reduce swelling and relieve pain.

For Oral Hygiene & Sore Throats

Tea Tree Essential Oil  is essential.  It can help you with that dreaded sore throat or cold sore. I put one drop of Tea Tree on the on my pinky.  Suck it off, swish it, and swallow.  It numbs the pain. For a cold sore, put a drop on a Q-tip and drab it on it.  It helps the same way for canker sores.  I also put on my tooth brush on top of my tooth paste. I have great dental checkups You can use minor cuts scraps too.

To Help You Sleep

Good Night Essential Oil Roller Bottle is great for traveling when you are going through time zones and you need help sleeping. You roll it to the top of the big toe down the side to the heal.  It will ease you to sleep.

For Hygiene

Hand Sanitizer Wipes are great to have on hand to clean your hands if you don’t have soap and water.

Makeup Remover Set is great to clean your face and remove makeup without facial cleanser and water.

Reusable Makeup Remover Cloth is another great item to take on the road.  You only need water and cloth to clean your face or anything else. It has a soft side and exfoliating side.
