Lose Weight for Better Health
Factors that Cause Weight Problems
Losing weight is crucial for better health. It involves multiple factors that need to be balanced. Like a pocket watch, if one component is out of place, it can lead to weight gain and other health problems. Stress, hormones, and sleep deprivation can potentially slow down weight release. As a Certified Wholistic Health Coach, I educate people about these factors and help them manage these three areas of concern.
Stress Makes it Difficult to Lose Weight
Stress wreaks havoc with your body. When you’re stressed, your body produces cortisol, a hormone that can increase your appetite and make you crave sugary processed foods. The combination of gluten and sugar in your diet is harmful and causes a leaky gut. This leads to the release of toxins into the bloodstream, which creates inflammation in different body systems. Chronic stress and a poor diet contribute to the accumulation of visceral fat too. It can lead to heart disease and blood sugar problems. All of this can lead to weight gain as well making it difficult to lose weight. Therefore, managing stress is crucial for weight loss and better health.
Manage Stress for Your Mind
It’s important to manage stress not only with what you put in your body but also with your emotions and mindset. A positive mindset and understanding that you can only control what you can do are essential to releasing stress. With a calm mind, you can quickly identify your stress triggers and emotions to stop them. I teach people how to manage their mindset and emotions with various techniques.
Hormone Imbalances Cause Weight Gain
Hormonal imbalances can also affect metabolism and make it difficult to lose weight. Women during menopause or those with thyroid problems may have this problem. Even medications for these conditions can cause weight gain. I suggest wholistic natural approaches for hormone imbalances, that are very effective. It is amazing when you give your body the right materials what it can do.
Toxins are a Problem Too
Eating a clean, toxic-free diet is also essential for weight management and hormones. I provide people with a list of clean foods, including organic produce and meats that are free of toxins and pesticides. Foods that mimic estrogen, such as soy and flaxseed, can also contribute to hormonal imbalances. I also provide a “Good Food/Bad Food List” to help people make the right food choices.
Sleep is Important for Losing Weight
Lack of sleep can also hinder weight loss efforts. Poor sleep interferes with the hormones that regulate appetite, such as Leptin and Ghrelin. These hormones are affected by your wake cycle that leads to increased hunger and cravings, especially for high-carbohydrate, high-fat processed foods. Sleep deprivation also slows down metabolism, making it harder to lose weight. It’s vital to ensure adequate sleep to maintain a healthy weight.
